Tour Overview
Come ride the length and breadth of NZ with Open Road. Starting in Auckland and finishing in Arrowtown we’ll take you on an unforgettable ride along some of NZ’s most iconic roads. In the North Island we’ll ride the Pacific Coast Highway round the Coromandel Loop and remote East Cape, visit Art Deco Napier and cross the Rimutaka Ranges. Crossing over to the South Island through the Marlborough Sounds, we’ll travel through the Buller Gorge to the West Coast, stopping to view the pancake rocks at Punakaiki, and then across the Southern Alps via the Haast Pass to Wanaka and Arrowtown. All in all it's a fantastic thrilling ride. A definite highlight of this tour is the ride through the Fiordland National Park to Milford Sound where we'll embark on an overnight cruise of the fjord - its magical. Along the way we've squeezed in a rest day to relax and recharge but even on a rest day there is plenty to see and do. We’ll stay in some outstanding hotels where comfort is key, experience great kiwi hospitality and enjoy fantastic Pacific Rim cuisine. This a great way to see just a little of what New Zealand has to offer and it will have you wanting to come back for more.
